Title: On some singular exponential sums
Abstract: One of the most effective tools for the study of exponential sums is the use of trace formulas in l-adic and p-adic cohomology. Significant progress has been made when the hypersurface defined by the regular function on affine space intersects transversally the divisor at infinity. In this talk we examine some cases where this intersection is singular.
