OWL Homework:
The homework portion of your grade (almost 20%) is obtained using the OWL computer homework system. It is the same system used in Chemistry and several other departments. The following is a tentative schedule of the lectures in the entire course. There will be pre-class assignments due Before each class period, as well as regular OWL homework due about one week after class, so this tentative schedule represents your OWL schedules in this manner.
Each OWL assignment will be opened in the system approximately 2 days before the lecture is given and will be closed at a date listed on the assignment in the computer. (Usually one week after the relevant class.) Before each evening exam, the OWL assignments will be opened for approximately 2 days to make up for any missed work. At the end of the course the OWL assignments will not be opened to make up missed work. It is essential that you keep up, day to day with these assignments. We emphasize again, there no be NO extended period at the end of the semester to make up missed work on OWL.
