A minimal
presentation for the ring of integral matrices

In a joint work with Bogdan Petrenko we investigate
combinatorial/algebraic questions concerning the the ring of n x n
integral matrices M_n. In particular, we produce, for n>=3, a
2-generator, n-relator presentation for M_n and prove that this
presentation is minimal (in the sense that no proper subset of the
relations suffices).
