Description:

Title: Two-weight inequalities for commutators

Abstract:

In this talk we describe a series of results characterizing the norm of the commutator [b, T] — where T is a Calderon-Zygmund operator and b is a BMO function — acting from one weighted space L^p(mu) to another weighted space L^p(lambda), where both mu and lambda are A_p weights. This is an extension to the difficult case of two-weights of a foundational result by Coifman, Rochberg and Weiss. We will discuss the first main result in this direction, dealing with the case of R^n, as well as later extensions to iterated commutators, fractional integral operators, and finally the extension to the multi-parameter case.
