AP Calculus AB Institute for Experienced Instructors
Monday, July 26 through Friday, July 30, 2010

This course is designed to meet the needs of teachers who have taught AP Calculus AB for a few years and who are ready for a more in-depth look at the topics that are covered in the course. Participants will receive materials to use with their students including teaching notes, discovery lessons using the graphing calculator, worksheets, and AP practice problems. Discussion of how to fit all of the topics into the school year and how to review for the AP test will be included, as well as discussion of new insights gained from the AP Reading. Participants should bring their Calculus textbook, and a graphing calculator.


AP Calculus Consultant Linda K. Hall
Stephen F. Austin High School, Sugar Land, Texas

Linda Hall has lived in the Fort Bend area for 30 years and is currently teaching AP Calculus at Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugar Land, Texas. She has taught AP Calculus for 18 years and has seen many of her students go on to have exciting mathematics careers. She is a College Board consultant and has spoken at numerous College Board two-day conferences. She holds a Masters in mathematics from Illinois State University.
