Student Help Page

I am receiving the message "You are not currently enrolled in any classes in WebAssign."

  • You will not be able to see your course in WebAssign until the first day of class.
  • Make sure you are logging in at the correct location here.
  • If you just registered for this class or section today, it takes one night for the rosters in WebAssign to refresh.
  • If you are still receiving the above message, follow the steps below.
    • Log out of WebAssign
    • Clear your browser's history, cache, and cookies.
    • Close ALL open browser windows.
    • Try logging in again.
    • If this doesn't work, try restarting your computer and repeating the above steps.
    • In general, make sure you log out of WebAssign after each use. Do not just close the browser window without logging out.
  • If none of these fix your problem, fill out a Student Help Request Form.

I am having technical difficulties with questions not displaying properly or not being able to type in answers.

  • Step 1: Make sure you are using a browser that is supported by WebAssign. Other browsers than those listed below might work, but are not supported. If you are using Chrome and are having issues with Flash, the best fix for this is to use Mozilla Firefox. You can download Firefox at www.mozilla.com.
    • For Windows users, WebAssign supports:
      • Mozilla Firefox (version 38 or later)
      • Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge (version 11 or later)
      • Google Chrome (version 44 or later)
    • For Mac users, WebAssign supports:
      • Mozilla Firefox (version 38 or later)
      • Google Chrome (version 44 or later)
      • Apple Safari (version 8 or later)
    • For iPad users (iOS 8 or later), WebAssign supports:
      • Apple Safari (version 8 or later)
  • Step 2: Update Adobe Flash Player on your computer. The most recent version of Flash can be downloaded from www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer. For some new browsers, Flash may not be compatible. If this is true for your current browser, try using Mozilla Firefox.
  • Step 3: Update Java on your computer. The most recent version of Java can be downloaded from http://java.com.
  • Step 4: Restart your computer and see if this fixes your issues.
  • Step 5: If you have tried the previous steps and are still experiencing difficulties, then fill out a Student Help Request Form.

I switched to a different section of the same course.

  • If you have already purchased access, entered in an access code, or started homework assignments, fill out a Student Help Request Form stating what section you are switching from and what section you are switching into. Your access will be transferred over as well as any assignments you've started.
  • If you have not yet purchased access or started homework, you do NOT need to fill out a Student Help Request form. You will be able to log in and view your new section the day after you officially switch in Howdy. You may have to use the pull-down menu to select the correct section to work in. You will eventually be dropped from your old section once rosters are finalized.

I switched to a different course altogether.

  • If you've already purchased access online, unfortunately access cannot be transferred across different courses. You will need to request a refund here for your previous course and then purchase access for your new course online or enter in a paper access code for your new course. See Note below.
  • If you have not purchased access, you do NOT need to fill out a Help Request Form. See Note below.
Note: In both of these cases, you will be able to view your new course and purchase access the day after you officially switch in Howdy. You may need to use the pull-down menu to select the correct course to work in. You will eventually be dropped from your old course when rosters are finalized.

I dropped my math course and need to request a refund.

If you bought access online directly in WebAssign, you can request a refund from WebAssign here.

I have another issue not covered above.
