Friends and Alumni
The Department of Mathematics and its programmes have benefitted enormously from the generosity of many individuals. We recognize these Friends of the Department with a brief description of the support they have provided.

Programs for Public Schools
The Mathematics Department is proud to be involved in several projects involving middle and high school students and teachers.

Math Awareness
Each year, the month of April is designated the Mathematics Awareness Month by the American Mathematical Society, the American Statistical Association, the Mathematical Association of America, and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics to recognize the importance of mathematics.
