Texas Finite Element Rodeo
Several years ago, a sequence of annual meetings were initiated in the finite element area with the intention of rotating the meetings between several universities in Texas. Last year's meeting was held on March 7-8, 2008 at Louisiana State University.
The meeting is in an informal manner using the well-known "circus" format. (In the beginning, it is asked who are willing to speak and according to the number of speakers the schedule and the length of the talks are arranged.)
The next meeting will be held at the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences of the University of Texas on February 27-28, 2009.
