Finite Element Rodeo
Several years ago, a sequence of annual meetings were initiated in the finite element area with the intention of rotating the meetings between several universities in Texas and Louisiana. The meeting is in an informal manner using the well-known Finite Element Circus format, see also the European Finite Element Fair. (In the beginning, it is asked who are willing to speak and according to the number of speakers the schedule and the length of the talks are arranged.)
