Housing

Housing for the workshops is offered in Tradition dorm for $138.75 for Sunday night through Thursday night. The small 2-bedroom is the only floor plan available. Roomates share a living area but have their own bedrooms that lock separately. A refrigerator and microwave are included. You may bring a TV or use one of the media rooms. Linens, towels, and parking in the garage at Tradition are included. Blocker Building, where the institutes are held, is close enough to walk, but you may park in the Northside Garage for an extra fee (see Parking Information below). If you indicate in your registration that you desire on-campus housing, reservations will be made for you for 5 nights (Sunday through Thursday). A full breakfast may be purchased in the dining room at Tradition. (Pastries, coffee, and juice are available each morning in Blocker.)

Off-Campus Housing is available at several motels/hotels located near the campus.

Vineyard Court Executive Suites   (888/846-2678)  is one block south and one block east of the main campus.
Hampton Inn (800/426-7866) is two blocks north of campus on the west side of Texas Avenue.
LaQuinta Inn (800/531-5900) is one block south of TAMU.
If you decide to use off-campus accommodations, you will need to make your own reservations.

Parking

Parking is available in the Northside Parking Garage, which is next to the Blocker Building, (maps) where the workshop will be held, for an hourly rate, which comes to about $11 per day. You do not need a parking pass; simply pay in the machine each day you choose to park there. The West Campus parking garage is located across Wellborn Road from the football stadium, and is about 1 mile from the Blocker Building, where the institutes will be held. You may use the campus bus service at no charge.

The city of College Station has a parking garage located at 309 College Main Street, which is approximately 6 blocks from Blocker, and would be considerably cheaper.

Shuttle bus service will available between the Southside area and the Blocker Building and between the West Campus Garage and the Blocker building. Check Transportation for specific times and location of stops.

Evening meals are NOT included in the workshop. Participants are expected to provide their own evening meals.
