Title: Patterns and Integer Valued Polynomials

Abstract: The following questions arose from a curious calculus student's confusion over Taylor series expansions: Given an integer valued polynomial p(n), what patterns of +'s and -'s will (-1)^p(n) generate (taking n=0,1,2,....)? Further, given a pattern of +'s and -'s, say ++--++-- ..., what polynomial generates it? We will investigate these questions.
