Unitarizability of pre-modular categories

Abstract: I will discuss the problem of unitarizability of categories associated with quantum groups at roots of unity. In particular, I will describe the recently completed solution to this problem in the non-simply-laced cases. This work is motivated by the application of modular categories to quantum systems of interest in topological quantum computation. I will speak on this application in the Math. Phys. seminar next week.
