Triangulations of oriented matroids
Abstract: There have been several studies, from an algorithmic perspective, on matrix representations of finitely presented groups and algebras. Curiously, the literature on this topic appears to be disjoint from well known work by Artin, Formanek, Procesi, Razmyslov, and others -- concerning central polynomials and irreducible representations. My aim in this talk is to suggest a general algorithmic approach, based on these authors' results and methods. |
