2005 Mathematics Summer Camp

This summer the Mathematics Department of Texas A&M University will be offering a two week summer camp for advanced high school students. Students will learn some of the basic ideas of matrices, linear algebra, linear transformations, and their relations to various ideas from geometry.

The camp will meet daily (excepting weekends) from 1:00 till 4:00 PM.. Students are responsible for daily transportation to and from the camp site. Snacks will be supplied during daily breaks.

In order to be admitted to the program a student will need a good knowledge of Algebra 1 and 2, and geometry.

A fee of $75.00 per camper is being charged. Those students accepted for the camp who can demonstrate financial need will either have their fees waived or lowered.
