Non-Thesis option
- Requires a minimum of 36 credit hours, with at least 24 credit hours in mathematical
sciences (mathematics, statistics, computer science).
- The core mathematics courses must include the 9 credit hour sequence
- MATH 640 (Linear Algebra for Applications)
- MATH 641 (Analysis for Applications I)
- MATH 642 (Analysis for Applications II)
- Degree plans must include a 9 to 12 hours minor in a discipline to which mathematics is applicable.
- The student's Advisory Committee must consist of three graduate faculty members, two
in mathematics, and one in the student's minor discipline. The final exam is intended to
determine the student's ability to correlate the courses taken in mathematics with those
in the minor area.
