Directions
- FUNCTION: Enter the function in the f(x) box.
Remember, do not use implied multiplication.
To graph 2x you must enter 2*x.
- COORDINATES:
- Click on the line to see the coordinates at that point.
- Enter an exact value into x1 and click Graph to see a certain point.
- AXES: Click on an axis. Now you can drag the graph to recenter.
- SECANT will draw a secant line through two points x1 and x2.
- Exact values for x1 and x2 may be entered in the box.
- Clicking on the graph will use that point for x1,
then x2.
- A point on the line can be grabbed and moved along the graph.
- A second value may be click on the graph to see two secant lines at the same time.
- TANGENT will draw a tangent line through x1 (x2 is ignored).
- An exact value for x1 may be entered in the box.
- Clicking on the graph will use that point for x1.
- A point on the line can be grabbed and moved along the graph and
the tangent line will update as the point is moved.
- Multiple tangent lines can be viewed by clicking on the graph.
