Math 491 Writing Credit for REU and Internships

The Math Department now allows students who participate in an REU or Internship to receive Writing Credit by enrolling in a one-hour Math 491W course. This credit is obtained by writing a paper or report during the term following the project. The student must obtain formal permission from the Math Department prior to beginning the project and obtain the prior agreement of a Math Department faculty member to mentor the writing of the paper/report
