    Mathematical Interests:

I am interested in Discrete and Computational Mathematics. I really enjoy reading about Crytography and Quantum Computing as well as Complexity Theory. My research is more into Computational Algebra which involves tools from Number Theory and Algebraic Geometry.

    My CV.

    A bit more about me:

I was born in Dongola in Northern Sudan,(not Dongola, Illinois, USA) and I went to Khor Omar High School, north of Omdurman, where I learned that there are people who do Mathematics as a profession. After high school, I decided to study Mathematics and I entered the School of Mathematical Sciences, University of Khartoum and I spent there five wonderful years. After spending one year in England, I came to USA to do my masters which I finished in 2004 from Southern Illinois University and then I moved to College Station,Texas, where I live now.

    Football and Chess:

I have been a long time supporter of FC Barcelona and the Brazilian National team, I love the offensive style of play and more attacking-minded games and that is why I am a fan of those two great teams. The same goes to chess, I love old school chess, with more open games and nice tricks. Ashraf's Home Page
