When I moved to Austin, I got myself a digital camera, making it simpler to allow others to trace my ways in this new country. So this is the place for the friends at home to see where I have been...

Fourth of July (July 2004)

On fourth of July, the national holiday of the United States, the city of Austin has a fireworks in the evening. Before that, there's a free open air concert in Zilker Park, where we went (left Zilker park with us in the foreground, right Jill and Jen):

Later on, there's the fireworks against the skyline of Austin. The brightest building in the middle is the Frost Bank Tower, completed in 2004. Admittedly, these aren't that many pictures on this page, but it's kinda hard to capture the moment of a firework in the dark with a cheap handheld digital camera :-)
