Some photos

When I moved to Austin, I got myself a digital camera, making it simpler to allow others to trace my ways in this new country. So this is the place for the friends at home to see where I have been...

Water activities (August 2004)

One of the popular things to do in the Texas summer is to go onto the lake. Since this was one of Fabio's last weekends in Austin before going back to Italy, we decided to rent a boat and have ourselves some fun lying on a float dragged at high speed behind the boat, and trying to waterski. At 90 something Fahrenheit, this all seems like the perfect way to spend your day :-)

Here is the first way to have fun: place Raul and Serge's child onto a float and drag them behind the boat, or do the same with Fabio and me, or Vanessa and Serge's wife:

Another possible way for a good laugh for everyone is to let Raul try to waterski:

Of course, once we laughed at Raul, everyone else has to try, and that isn't always more successful:

It remains to be said that both he and I ultimately managed to stay on the skis for a number of meters.

Finally, here's the last picture I have that shows Fabio and Vanessa together, in the water and being pretty cute:
