When I moved to Austin, I got myself a digital camera, making it simpler to allow others to trace my ways in this new country. So this is the place for the friends at home to see where I have been...

Wedding III (June 11th, 2005)

After the ceremony, the bridal party takes pictures (groom invited to come along) while everyone else is having appetizers and enjoying themselves. Here: Lisa and Weylin, and Micheleen and Larsson:

In German weddings, there are usually some games after dinner, often extending weddings way into the wee hours of the next morning. One such game is like musical chairs with 13 people, where the first 12 to lose get assigned one task to do together with the newlywed couple during one of the next 12 months. The one to win gets something from the couple. In the left picture, Jill's sister sports one trophy (my necktie) that she had to get during the game. In the right picture, I am trying to find my bride by feeling elbows. Too bad the bride wasn't even in line to be found, but I settled on her sister Caitlin (being scrutinized in the picture), which given the circumstances was about as good as I probably could do :-)
