Vancouver (July 2007)
Back in 1986, my parents took us on a trip in Canada from
Edmonton to Vancouver, then down to Yellowstone National Park
in Wyoming, and then back up to Edmonton. In Vancouver, there
was the World Fair at the time. I don't have many memories of
that trip, but it was fun to go back to that beautiful city
more than 20 years later. I'm sure the city has changed a lot
since back then, there's new developments everywhere, with
giant condo towers sprouting up all over the Vancouver
downtown peninsula. That's a lovely place anyway, with areas
for pedestrians and nice views if you're higher up (the dome
is one of the pavilions built for the world fair):
It's a beautiful nature place as well, though. Located on one
of the inland sounds, with many large and small islands in
front of the coast, and a dense and wild forest leading down
to the ocean:
