Email sent on 8/23:
Howdy. I just wanted to send you an email and welcome you to Math 150.
There are a few things I wanted to let you know about before I see you on
Monday.
- My webpage is www.math.tamu.edu/~baurispa. Please take a look around.
I would suggest that you book mark it in your browser for easy access in
the future.
- On the first day of class, we'll talk about the semester and the
syllabus, and start Chapter 1 if there's time. Don't worry about printing
off copies of the syllabus. I'll bring those with me.
- On my webpage, if you click on Daily Schedule, you'll see a tentative
outline of what we'll be doing this semester. If you'll notice the column
"Lecture Notes," you'll see that I've already posted the lecture notes for
Sections 1.1 and 1.2. Please print those out and bring them with you to
class. I'll be posting lecture notes under the Daily Schedule throughout
the semester for your use. This makes class go much smoother for me and
for you. So check the Daily Schedule frequently to see if there are new
lecture notes to print off.
I'll be sending more emails out, especially the first week, so please be
sure to check your TAMU email regularly.
I hope you guys had a good summer. I know a lot of you are incoming
freshmen, so I hope that this first semester is a good one for you.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. See you soon.
