Getting here

College Station has an airport (code: CLL) with flights to Houston (United) and Dallas (American Airlines). It may or may not be much more expensive than flying to Houston and taking a shuttle (see below), it's better to compare the prices. A taxi from CLL to a local hotel would be $15-$20. However, there will be local organizers meeting flights at CLL on Thursday, Oct 16.

A more frequent and reliable option is to fly to Houston and take a shuttle bus which will take you directly to your hotel. Shuttles by GroundShuttle run from/to both Houston Bush Intercontinental (code: IAH) and Houston Hobby (code: HOU) and cost $40 and $50, respectively. There are 8 shuttles per day on a weekday and 5 on Sunday.

There is also a new entrant to the shuttle market, ShuttleMe. At this time their prices (with hotel delivery / pickup) are $33 for IAH and $41 for HOU. There are 4 shuttles on a weekday and 2 per day on weekend.

One can also fly to Austin (AUS, 1:45 hrs, 100 mi) and Dallas (DFW, 3:10 hrs, 200 mi) where a car can be rented. There is no public transportation to/from these airports at this time.

Despite the name, there is no train station in College Station.
