This undergraduate course covered chapters 1-3 and 5-7 of Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems, fifth edition, by William E. Boyce and Richard C. DiPrima (Wiley, 1992). The prerequisite course was multivariable calculus (Math 251 or Math 253). The course met three times a week for 50 minutes. There were 38 students, mainly from various engineering departments, and mainly juniors.
