FINITE ELEMENT RODEO 2011
The finite element rodeo is an annual, informal conference on finite element methods that rotates between several universities in Texas and Louisiana. In the beginning, we ask for all those willing to speak to come forward. We will use this information to determine the length of the talks and arrange a schedule so that the total available time is then divided by the number of speakers. Usually, the time alloted per talk is 10-15 minutes. Talks by graduate students and postdocs are particularly encouraged.
The 2011 edition of the traditional finite element rodeo will be held at Texas A&M on February 25-26 starting at 1pm the 25th.
The registration starts at 12:00 pm in front of room B166 in
the Blocker building.
All participants (even if preregistered online) need to be registered before 12:45 pm.
|Workshop Venue:||The workshop will be held in Room B166 of the Blocker building. The closest parking is the Northside Parking Garage NSPG right across the street.|
|Accommodation:||We have pre-booked 30 rooms at the Hyatt hotel in College Station for $93 / night + taxes. To obtain this rate, please use the group code G-TFER when registering.|
|Friday Dinner and Saturday Lunch:||The Friday dinner will take place at Maddens. Saturday lunch will be provided nearby the conference room.|
|Fees:||The fees are $20 if you are not attending the dinner (but include the Saturday lunch), $40 if you are attending the Friday night dinner. Two possibilities are available for the payment: (i) Please visit the online payment webpage to make the payment anytime; (ii) We will accept cash and credit cards at the beginning of the workshop.||Workshop Registration:||The registration deadline for the participants planning to attend the dinner was February 17, 2011. Last minute registration (not including the Friday night dinner) will be possible from 12:15 p.m to 12:45 pm in front of the workshop room (B166).
