Announcements

• All Grades are posted. Have a nice break.
• Help on online assignments:
  • You may get mathematical help on the online practice (not for grades), but not homework, problems before the due time. If you tried and need help solving some practice problems, print those out and bring them to my office hours or the help sessions to get help.
  • For non-computer related technical problems, things like problems not graded correctly or trouble entering an answer, use the Student Help Form to ask for help. I won't be able to help with these problems.
  • Contact WebAssign Tech Support for computer related problems, like a graph not shown.
  *** Note 1: You must use the shift key instead of the caps lock to input a capital letter. ***
  *** Note 2: To avoid last minute computer/network problems, never wait till the last day to start an assignment. ***
• Do the Suggested Problems before you try the online assignments. All I can see on WebAssign are your grades, not your questions or responses. The solutions can be viewed after the due date, so you can see if there is a grading error. I will not help solve a math problem in an email. Please come to my office for the help.
• The best way to contact me is by emails. Please always specify your full name and section number in the subject line when emailing Dr. Chen. Suspicious emails are deleted without opening. If you don't receive a reply after one working day, it did not reach me. Resend the email or contact me by other means.
• The Math Department provides a lot of free help and resources. Take advantage of them.
  You can get one-on-one help on suggested or online practice problems in Help Sessions.
  Week In Review is a problem-solving session to reinforce the concepts or get exposed to material covered in a missed class.
• The Byrne Center for Student Success offers helpful programs and free tutoring.
