Project requirements

Making a digitization project requires mostly tools you already have. The key idea here is to apply a digitizer. With a digitizer you can create a coordinate system, define a specific distance, and "mark" positions on the graph.

Ingredients:
Purpose

Digital camera or a
Scanner

 to make basic images Internet ready

Digitizer 1.0

to digitize points on the image

Using Digitizer 1.14

Spreadsheet software or a Calculator

 to make needed calculations

Photo editor

 to touch up images or insert rulers

 

In this example, we have digitized a circle. As you can see the origin of the coordinate sytems is inserted, a specific calibration point is given, and various points on the circle are selected. The "digitized" points with the scaling are
