Article on the TAMU Math Circle by the College of Science. Nickolas Hein, a graduate student working with me, has just accepted a tenure-track job in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He has also defended his thesis, Reality and Computation in Schubert Calculus. Research Interests: Algebraic combinatorics, real and computational algebraic geometry, applications of algebraic geometry, Hopf Algebras, Discrete and Computational Geometry, tropical geometry. Letters of Recommendation I am willing to write letters for deserving candidates, but please read this before asking me for a letter. Shame on Elsevier.
