Math 172, Calculus II
Math 172 (4 credits) covers techniques of integration
(e.g. substitutions and integration by parts), applications of
integration (e.g. area, volume, arc length, center of mass),
first order differential equations, infinite sequences,
infinite series (including power series).
Math 308, Differential Equations
Math 308 (3 credits) is an introduction to differential equations. Most of the
material will be presented in a manner consistent with the presentations in
the text; however, some may not be. Students are expected to read and study
the examples and related material in the text.
Math 414, Fourier Series and Wavelets
Math 414 content includes Inner product spaces, Fourier series, Fourier transformations, Discrete Fourier analysis, Haar wavelet, Multiresolution analysis, Daubechies wavelets, and other wavelet topics.
Math 417, Numerical Analysis
This course is an introductory survey of numerical methods that are
used in science and engineering.
We will analize properties such as accuracy, efficiency and stability.
The homework will include programming exercises to gain practical
experience using the methods.
Math 485, Directed Studies (Stochastic Calculus)
Math 609, Numerical Analysis
Math 609 content includes topics such as Solution of Nonlinear Equations, Methods for Solving Systems of Linear Equations, Selected Topics in Numerical Linear Algebra, Approximation Theory, Numerical Differentiation and Integration, Numerical methods for Ordinary Differential Equations, Miscellaneous
