    Current Information and Announcements

  • Make-ups for exams and quizzes will only be given with documented University-approved excuses (see http://student-rules.tamu.edu). If you have such an excuse, you must let me know (e-mail or phone) within One Day.
  • Homework: Homework assignments for the entire course will be given to you the first day of classes. You can also download them from my homepage. Doing homework is vitally important for your success in the class. It is your responsibility to do homework regularly and seek help if needed. I recommend you to read a corresponding section of the book and your lecture notes before attempting to work on the problems.
  • Getting help:

    1. First, feel free to ask questions in class.

    2. Next, I encourage you to stop at my office during my office hours; there you can get individual help, and we can spend as much time as needed discussing your questions. If your schedule does not allow you to see me during my office hours, feel free contact me to make an appointment for a more convinient time.

    3. In addition, there will be Math 251 Help Sessions. Times and locations will be posted on the course homepage http://calclab.math.tamu.edu/docs/math251/

    4. There will be a review session before each exam. The sections covered on an exam will be announced well before the exam date.

  • Calculators: Calculators (but not laptops or palmtops) will be allowed on tests. However, you will be required to show all steps of a solution to get full credit.

Academic Dishonesty: Scholastic dishonesty will not be tolerated. Hopefully, we will not have any offences but if a case of cheating, plagiarism, etc., occurs, it will be handled as described in the University Student Rules.
