Your Webassign license and ebook are paid for through your course fees. All Math 141 classes use the same book: Tan's Finite Mathematics. Buying a paper copy is optional.

I strongly urge you to do every interesting problem in our book. You'll learn a lot.

Guidelines for working together on Homework

Required at each exam unless otherwise noted:

Your student ID.
#2 pencils with erasers.
TI-83 or 84 (regular, plus or silver editions) or TI-Nspire (non-CAS) Calculators.
Calculator memory must be cleared before the exam.
- TI-83: 2nd, +, 5, 1
- TI-84: 2nd,+, 7, →, →,1,2
The case for your calculator must be removed and put away for the exam
On your desk is your pencil, erasers, ID, calculator and water bottle. Everyting else must be out of sight and zipped up into your bag.
In particular, cellphones must be silenced and put away in your bags.
Hats, sunglasses must be removed.

Exam 1 will be on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in class.

Exam 2 will be on Thursday, March 8 in class.

The Final Exam will be on Tuesday May 8, 2012 from 1-3 pm in our regular classroom. The final exam is cumulative.
It will have between 33 and 40 questions on it, approximately 1/4 from the new material and 3/4 from the previous exams.
