Math 150 Exam 1

I hope to have scores posted this week (if I can make all the computer magic work)
Exams should be returned to you next week in your Lab/Recitation section.
Most of the scores were good.
Some students are clearly lost (large blank patches on the exam is a clue).
- This reflects more on your preparation than on you.
- You are the one who has to decide what to do about it.
- I recommend talking to your Academic Dean now about options.
- Enrolling next semester in a course to prepare you for this one may well be your best option.
If you wish you had done better:
- Revisit study habits: see me, see the Student Learning Center.
- Find others serious about the class to work with. Studies show that this, more than anything else, leads to success.
- If you are not spending much time on HW, that must change.
- If you are already spending much time (6+ hrs/week) on HW, then you need to see what you can do differently. Studying better, not necessarily studying harder.
- Take advantage of Help Sessions and Week in Review!
