Term Paper

You are to prepare a monograph on a theoretical or practical application of differential geometry in an area of interest to you. You may choose to work through a journal article(s), import information from other books, discuss applications in research with which you have some familiarity, etc. This project is intended to be an interesting one, and experience indicates that both you and Dr. Pitts will enjoy learning from what you write!
You have considerable discretion in choosing your topic, but all all proposals should be approved by Dr. Pitts in advance.
If scheduling permits, the last several class meetings will be given to oral presentations by individuals about their term papers.
Papers are due Tuesday, December 10, 2002, in class.
