Intersection of Functions

• Press and enter both functions.
• Press to graph both functions.
  • The intersetion point must be seen in the window.
  • Press to adjust the window. The Zoom Fit and Zoom Standard may be usefull.

Note: The window may have to adjusted multiple times so that all intersection points can be found.

• Press
• Choose 5:intersect

• The calculator will now ask you to indicate which two functions you want to intersect by asking you to identify the First curve and the Second curve. Use the and to move the cursor to the first curve and press . Repeat the process to indicate the second curve.

Note: If you are only graphing two functions, then just press twice.

• The calculator will now ask for your Guess. Use the and to move the cursor close to the intersection point.

Note: The closer the guess is to the intersection point the faster the calculator will return a solution.

Note: When there are more than one intersection point on the screen, the placement of the guess will determine which solution the calculator will show.
