Title: Wavelets and the spectral multiplicity function

Abstract:
We will present a connection between wavelets and the
spectral multiplicity function associated to a certain unitary
operator. We then make the case that this multiplicity function
contains all the essential information about the wavelet, and in fact
we give an algorithm for constructing wavelets from such a multiplicity
function and nothing else.
