Title: Cones arising from C*-subalgebras and complete positivity
Abstract: We introduce a set of cones in the matrix algebras over a C*-algebra A induced by a subalgebra B. In the case B=A, these coincide with the standard positive cones, but there are other circumstances when this happens, and we characterize this as B having the property of norming A (a term that will be explained in the talk). This is applied to determine automatic complete positivity of positive maps in certain situations. This is joint work with Florin Pop.
