The concentration week in Set Theory and Functional Analysis will form one of the activities in the 2010 installment of the
Workshop in Analysis and Probability
which takes place every summer at
Texas A&M University in
College Station,
Texas. The broad theme will be recent applications of
set theory in functional analysis, with topics to include combinatorial phenomena and classifiability problems in operator algebras, dynamics, and Banach space theory, and model theory of metric structures.
The program will feature lecture series by
Christian Rosendal,
David Sherman, and
Todor Tsankov.
The conference will be preceded by another concentration week on
Orthogonal Polynomials in Probability Theory,
which runs from July 6 to 10, and immediately followed by
SUMIRFAS,
which runs from July 30 to August 1.
The workshop is supported in part by grants from the
National Science Foundation.
Minorities, women, graduate students, and young researchers are especially encouraged to attend.
