The map below includes the standard workshop venue, hotels, parking options, and numerous restaurants. These are my personal and biased recommendations. See also the Workshop official list for different, although correlated, suggestions.

• Near Vineyard court •Blue Baker, 201 Dominik Drive. Sandwiches, salads, and pizza. Good and cheap; size large enough for dinner. They have another location in the Chimney Hill area.
Shiraz Shish Kabob, 110 Dominik Drive. Good, cheap, run by a nice family.
H-E-B Foods, 1900 Texas Avenue South. A better-than-average supermarket. Vineyard Court has kitchenettes.
Sweet Eugene's House of Java, 1702 George Bush Drive East. A coffee house (very popular with students), but also has crepes and sandwiches.
Naked Fish Restaurant, 1808 Texas Avenue South. Reasonable Japanese food.
Napa Flats, 1727 Texas Avenue South. The conference dinner will be held here.
Rudy's Country Store And Bar-B-Q, 504 Harvey Road. Not quite as good as C&J, but much closer.
Arbano Café, 614 Holleman Drive East, suite 1110. Mediterranean food. A little further away.
BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, 1520 Harvey Road. Beer, pizza, etc. A little further away.
TAZ Indian Cuisine, 2416 Texas Avenue South. A little further away.
40 Tempura Sushi Restaurant, 2551 Texas Avenue South. One of the best of many sushi restaurants. A little further away.
• Chimney Hill area on University Avenue •The Republic Steakhouse, 701 University Drive East. Probably the best steak in College Station. Quite expensive.
Atami Steak & Sushi, 800 University Drive East. A slightly different selection of Japanese food.
Veritas Wine & Bistro LLC, 830 University Drive East. The most upscale restaurant in College Station. May be worth the price, especially if you enjoy and understand wine.
Cenare, 404 University Drive East. Good Italian food.
Blue Baker, 800 University Drive East. Sandwiches, salads, and pizza. Good and cheap; size large enough for dinner.
Fox and Hound Pub & Grill, 505 University Drive East. Beer and food away from campus.
Terrazzo Coffee and Wine, 404 University Drive East. Good place for evening coffee, wine, and gelato.
Panera Bread, 1407 University Drive East. A little further away. Sandwiches, soups, pastries.
Lanna Thai, 3700 Texas Avenue South.
• Near campus •Jin's Asian Cafe, 110 Nagle Street. Reasonable Chinese and Thai food. Their concept in Indian food is strange.
Pita Pit, 403 University Drive. Not authentic, but good and healthy pitas.
Freebirds World Burrito, 319 University Drive. Burritos built to order.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop, 409-B University Drive. Good lunch-size-sandwiches.
Great Wraps, 717 University Drive. A new place.
• If you have a car •C&J Bar-B-Que, 1010 Texas Avenue South. Texas style barbeque; there are many other choices, but this is the best.
Madden's Casual Gourmet, 202 North Bryan Avenue. Upscale place, more reasonably priced then Christopher's.
Christopher's World Grille, 5001 Boonville Road. One of the three best restaurants in the area. Hard to find.
Hullabaloo Diner, 15045 FM 2154 Rd. An authentic East Coast diner. Hard to find.
El Sol De Mexico, 705 North Texas Avenue. The most authentic of many Mexican restaurants in the area.
Koppe Bridge Bar & Grill, 11777 FM 2154 Road. Best burgers in College Station. Can be very crowded during the semester.
There are many other places to eat, primarily chain restaurants, many of them quite good.
