Title: Free Orbit Dimension of Finite von Neumann Algebras.

Abstract:
To study Voiculescu's free entropy dimension, we will introduce a notion of free orbit dimension of finite von Neumann algebras in the talk. Some basic properties of free orbit dimension are discussed. As a corollary, we obtain the values of Voiculescu's free entropy dimensions for some type II_1 factors. Then we will discuss some interesting problems around this notion of free orbit
dimension.
Voiculescu introduced the notion of topological free entropy dimension of n-tuples in a C* algebra. If time permitted, we will
compute the value of topological free entropy dimension of one self-adjoint element in a C* algebra.
