This is a second semester course in calculus, which covers in depth integration, applications of integration, and sequences and series. Specific topics include advanced techniques of integration, volume, area, and arc length computations, first-order linear differential equations, sequences, series, power series, and Taylor series of functions. WebAssign On-line Homework: There will be weekly on-line homework assignments on WebAssign, which are a required part of the class. No late homework will be accepted for any reason (other than a university approved excuse). However, the three lowest homework scores will be dropped at the end of the semester before computing your homework average. Additional Problems from Stewart: These problems are highly recommended for students to study course material more thoroughly and to see additional types problems that may be on exams. There will be a quiz during recitation sections approximately every week. Missed quizzes cannot be made up, except as allowed by university policies on missed work (see below). Your lowest quiz grade will be dropped at the end of the semester. |
