EXAMS: Major examinations will be announced at least two
class days prior to the examination date. All examination
grades will be counted toward the final grade. No make up exams
will be given without an official University excuse. Disputes
about a graded exam must be attended to the day that exams are
handed back and must be discussed before the student leaves the
classroom. Any exam that leaves the classroom in the student's
possession will not be re-evaluated.
GRADING: Points will be deducted on graded assignments for
spelling and grammar mistakes. These points are refundable and
can be redeemed by correcting the mistake(s) during office hours,
within 3 days of the return of the exam.
QUIZZES: In class quizzes will be administered
throughout the term. Quizzes cannot be made up without an
official University excuse. Quizzes will not be announced.
HOMEWORK: I suggest you keep all your homework problems
in a spiral notebook, with section, page and date clearly
marked.
The list of suggested homework problems can be found on my web
site under the heading MATH365: Homework Assignments or
at
http://www.math.tamu.edu/~marcia.drost/365hmwk02.html These
problems will not be collected and graded, but they will be the
basis for all mandatory qauizzes and exams.
WEEK IN REVIEW: The week in review notes cover the
most important problems of the week. Make sure you know how to
do all these problems each week.
