The HP48G/GX is an extremely powerful graphics calculator. It probably has more features and abilities than any other hand held calculator. Unfortunately, its extreme versatility entails some difficulty in learning to use it effectively.
The purpose of this pamphlet is to help you to feel at ease, in as short a time as possible, with the HP48G/GX. The material discussed here will not turn you into an HP48G/GX guru, but will help ease the transition from being an unsure novice filled with apprehension to someone who feels at ease using this tool.
It goes without saying that the bibles for the HP48G/GX are the manual by Hewlett Packard along with the Advanced Users Reference Manual. They are the courts of last resort.
My thanks to Professors Joe Herrmann and Jeff Morgan for some valuable suggestions. Their help has made this a better manual.
I will appreciate any errors being brought to my attention, and apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by them. All suggestions for improvements will be greatly appreciated.
