Late Breaking Events
[Latest First ...]
Video lectures #6 and #7 are now on the web. Sorry for the delay
on #6 ...
More links to "Hard" and "Unsolved" problems have been posted.
Note, in particular, the link to seven problems worth $1,000,000.00
each by the Clay institute.
I have posted homework #3.
I have included two references to visualizations of the
proof of the Pythagorean Theorem. They can be found in the
Proofs link.
Homework assignment #2 has been posted, having to do with the
constructibility of numbers using compass and a straightedge.
Homework assignment #1 is now posted. Check the
Homework link under
the table of contents.
Videos of the first two lectures are now available.
They are in streaming format, meaning if you have a high-speed modem
(dialup) connection or better, you should be able to hear the lectures
in real time. If you have a fast enough connection, you can download
the files and replay them at your leisure.
We now have a grader for the course. He will help grade the
mathematical problem sets. I will be grading the projects.
A student version
of the course notes has been placed on line.
The instructor version
is still available.
