Final Project

(due Friday. 8/9/02 and Monday 8/12/02):
(due Saturday 8/10/02 for distance students)

The Final Project will consist of the following parts, combining aspects of the previous four projects.

    1. Create a web site for, and a link to, your final project. This should be accessible from your web page on http://calclab.math.tamu.edu/

    2. Create a PDF file which explains the context of your chosen mathematical subject area. Use TeX/LaTeX or Word to create the file, but the end result should be a PDF file with equations and graphics.

    3. Create at least one Maple worksheet in support of your problem. Create a link to download your .mws file, and create a PDF file for viewing. Describe the reasons why Maple is being used to solve this particular part of the problem

    4. Create one or more MatLab m-file's in support of your problem. Create a link to download your MatLab m-files. Describe the reasons why Matlab is being used to solve this particular part of the problem.

    5. If appropriate, create animated gif's, and place them in your final project web site.

    6. Prepare a 10 min presentation for Friday 8/9/02 or Monday 8/12/02, and explain to the other class members (and myself) the details of your final project. Walk through your final project web site.

Distance Students - your final oral presentation will be by phone at a mutually agreed upon time. Please e-mail me a good time on either Saturday 8/10/2002 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
