First, download the PuTTY files from the
PuTTY download page
When you first start PuTTY, you will see the screen below:
The first step is to enter in the host name (use
calclab1.math.tamu.edu ).
Choose the SSH protocol
and save the name of the profile as calclab1,
or whatever you want ..
Next, go to the SSH Category, and set the "Preferred SSH protocol
version" to 2
If you wish, you can change the default color scheme
Finally, save the result, and click "Open" to initiate the session.
You may get a dialog box complaining about host identification.
Just accept by clicking "OK".
You are now ready to go!
