The final exam

For final exam schedule information see the final exam schedule on the registrar's webpage. The final for sections 519-521 will be on Friday May 2 at 10AM; for sections 804-806 it will be at 10:30 on Wednesday, May 7. As usual, the final is in the same classroom as the lectures.

Exam office hours

I will have extra pre-final office hours on Thursday May 1, 10AM-11AM and Tuesday May 6, 10AM-11AM.

Office hour changes

My office hours for the week of April 21 will be Monday 9AM-10:30AM as usual and Tuesday 11AM-12:30. I will not have office hours on Wednesday, April 23 (the morning after the midterm). As always, if you cannot make either time, please make an appointment.
For the week of April 28, I will have office hours on both Monday and Tuesday from 9AM-10:30AM. Please remember that Tuesday, April 28 is officially a Friday so we do have class.
Office hours during exam period will be announced shortly.

Third Midterm

The third midterm is Tuesday April 22 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm in HECC 110. Note that this is a different day of the week from our previous midterms.
The third midterm will cover from section 4.3 to section 6.2.

Second Midterm

The second midterm exam is Thursday, March 20 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in HECC 110. This is the week after Spring Break.
Section 3.3 will be on the exam; section 4.3 will not be.

Online homework technical issues

Issues with submitting answers to homework problems on the CengageNOW system have been reported. If you experience these difficulties, the suggested fix is to switch webbrowsers as Cengage has only been able to reproduce the problems in Firefox.

Homework 4

The deadline for the fourth online homework has been extended until February 17th.

Midterm Exam

Remember that the first midterm exam is Thursday, February 14 from 7:30 to 9:30PM. We will be in HECC 110.
Past midterm exams are available for practice.
No calculators may be used during the exam.
Section 3.3 will not be on the exam. The exam covers sections 1.1 through 3.2 inclusive except for sections 2.1 and 2.4.
