Local Information

(We encourage all participants to make their travel arrangements early, as there is only a limited number of flights into College Station each day.)

 

If you are driving from the west (Austin, San Antonio, Caldwell) on Hwy 21,  take the State Hwy 47 (after you cross the Brazos River) and head south. Continue south several miles on Hwy 47, until you reach Raymond Stotzer Parkway.  Turn left (east) onto Raymond Stotzer Parkway.  As you enter College Station, Raymond Stotzer Parkway becomes University Drive. Continue  east on University Drive. At the intersection of University Drive and Ireland streets, you will turn right onto the campus. On your right will be the Northside Parking Garage, where you may park;  and on your left, the Blocker Building, where the conference will be held.

If you are driving from the south (Houston area), take Hwy 290 west to Hempstead.  In Hempstead, take the State Hwy 6 exit, and head north toward Navasota and College Station.  As you enter College Station, you will take the Business 6/Texas A&M University exit (left lane).  Business 6 becomes Texas Avenue South.  Continue north on Texas Avenue to the intersection of Texas Avenue and University Drive.  Turn left (west) onto University Drive, to the intersection of University Drive and Ireland Street.  You will turn left onto the campus on Ireland Street. On your right will be the Northside Parking Garage, where you may park;  and on your left, the Blocker Building, where the conference will be held.

If you are driving from the north (Waco, Dallas, Hearne) on U.S. Hwy 190/Texas Hwy 6, you will  take the East Bypass/Hwy 6 as you approach Bryan. You will pass several exits into Bryan. Continue south several miles on the East Bypass/Hwy 6, to the FM 60 (University Drive) exit, where you will turn right (west) onto University Drive. Head west on University Drive,  through the  the intersection of Texas Avenue and University Drive.  Continue west on University to the intersection of University Drive and Ireland Street.  You will turn left onto the campus on Ireland Street.  On your right will be the Northside Parking Garage, where you may park;  and on your left, the Blocker Building, where the conference will be held.

If you are driving from the east (Madisonville, Austin) on U.S. Hwy 190/State Hwy 21, you will take the State Hwy 47 exit (after you cross the Brazos River) and head south. Continue south several miles on Hwy 47, until you reach Raymond Stotzer Parkway.  Turn left (east) onto Raymond Stotzer Parkway.  As you enter College Station, Raymond Stotzer Parkway becomes University Drive. Continue  east on University Drive. At the intersection of University Drive and Ireland Street, you will turn right onto the campus on Ireland Street. If you are driving from the east (Carlos, Huntsville) on State Hwy 30, you will stay on Hwy 30 into College Station, where  Hwy 30 becomes Harvey Road.  Continue west on Harvey Road to the intersection of Harvey Road and Texas Avenue.  Turn right (north) onto Texas Avenue, to the intersection of Texas Avenue and University Drive.  Turn left (west) onto University Drive. Continue west on University to the intersection of University Drive and Ireland Street.  You will turn left onto the campus on Ireland Street.  On your right will be the Northside Parking Garage, where you may park;  and on your left, the Blocker Building, where the conference will be held.
 

Easterwood Airport is at the intersection of F.M. 60 (Raymond Stotzer Parkway) and F.M. 2818,  at the southwest corner of Texas A&M University.  Please indicate on your registration form if you are flying into College Station.
 

The Northside Parking Garage  is at the corner of University Drive and Ireland Street across from the Blocker Building. Visitor parking charge  is $1.00/hour during weekdays ($8.00/day maximum). On Saturday and Sunday there is no charge for use of the garage, subject to availability. In addition, on Saturday and Sunday, you may park without charge in any parking space on campus which is not numbered, reserved, or marked "30 minute".
