Geometric Group Theory

20-24 June 2011

Workshop

The Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research

University of Bristol, United Kingdom

Organized by Talia Fernós, Graham Niblo and Piotr Nowak

US Graduate Students and Postdocs: The National Science Foundation is providing support through grant DMS 1105664 for junior mathematicians to travel to the Workshop. To be eligible for this funding one must be a graduate student or a postdoc at an institution in the United States.

We will be able to provide support (up to $2000) to 8-10 graduate students or postdocs. To apply for funding please fill out the registration form. We strongly encourage women, ethnic minorities and groups underrepresented in the mathematical sciences to apply.

Since the funding is limited, priority will be given to those, whose research interests most closely coincide with the topics discussed  at the workshop. We will make decisions on funding in early April.

UK Graduate Students and Postdocs: we can provide some partial support to UK graduate students and postdocs from the funds provided by the the host of the workshop, the Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research. To apply for funding please fill out the registration form

To receive full consideration in both case please apply before March 31, 2011. Late applications will be considered as long as funding is available.
