Zometool 120-cells in Africa

Frank Sottile, Tuesday 17 May 2016

In follow-up activities to lectures on "Platonic solids in the next dimension", in trips to Africa, I have worked with small groups of students to build projections of the 120-cell in R3. (The model at left resides in at the Usmanu Danfodio University in Sokoto and dates from July 2012.)
My page from the original construction in Sokoto from 2012 is worth a view. Below are pictures from four constructions, Sokoto in July 2012, Ibadan and Ilorin, both in July 2014, and the IMSP in Porto-Nuovo, Benin on Vendredi 13 Mai 2016.
