Prerequisite: Pre-calculus
We will have three exams worth 100 points each, quizzes worth 100 points,
and a final exam worth 150 points. Work turned in late will not be accepted.
Your grade for the course will be determined as follows:
A: 495 -- 550; B: 440 -- 494;
C: 385 -- 439; D: 330 -- 384; F: 0 -- 329
We will be taking advantage of a course management
tool called WebCT. I have set up a home page for this course. From
this page you will be able to check your grades, send mail to me and/or
any of your classmates, have access to a bulletin board, etc. There will
also be a link from this home page to previous exams and quizzes, which
I have given in this course.
You will need to visit this page often in order to get and return your
quizzes, to post questions and receive answers to them.

After getting to this page click College
of Science, then find math 131.
Click on it. You will be asked for your login ID and password. Your login
ID and password, unless told otherwise, will be your last name, use all
capital letters. In the event that two of you have the same last name your
login ID and password will then be the first initial of your first name
concatenated to your last name, again use all capital letters. The
first time you visit this page be sure to change your password.
Remember, your grades, and other confidential material will be available
to anyone who has your login ID and password.
